Youth Activities

At Reading Pagans & Witches we endeavor to include family-friendly events in addition to our more mature oriented activities.  Our family days have included trips to the Youth Day at the PA Renaissance Faire, May Faires, and the Celtic Fling.   We’ve also held Egg Hunts for Ostara, and a kids’ Earth Day celebration.  We now have two distinct groups for the children of our members.

Family TimeOut Circle

In June of 2007 we started the Family TimeOut Circle (FTC).  This is a group of families from RPW who get together for field trips, children's learning circles, and plain old fashioned fun times.  We have had a family picnic, visited Crystal Cave, learned about the elements, as well as parties for Samhain and Yule.  This group is geared primarily towards children aged 10 and under and their parents.

Youth Exploring Spirituality Circle

At the end of December, 2007, we formed the Youth Exploring Spirituality Circle (YES).  YES is a group for the 11-16 year old tweens & teens of RPW members.  It is a group for kids to talk about their spiritual journey. It is primarily self-moderated and self-directed by the kids. It is not specifically about Paganism but literally Youth Exploring Spirituality.
